Harlands Primary School

Admission Arrangements

We are always delighted to show prospective pupils and their parents around Harlands, and to answer any questions they may have.

For many parents, a visit is a useful way to get to know a school and can be helpful in deciding their preferences.
Admissions offers to the Reception classes will remain in the care of West Sussex and follow the national arrangements. Admission offers to Years 1-6 currently remain with WSCC, but it is worthwhile calling  the School Office (01444 450782) first to check availability.

The current Admissions Policy can be accessed here.

For Parents whose children are starting school for the first time, you will be sent a letter in the autumn of the year before your child is due to start school.  This letter informs you of the name of your catchment school and how you can make an application online for a school place.  Parents have the right to express three preferences and may apply for any school, but should submit their application by 15 January.  Further information on admission arrangements to the Reception classes is available at www.westsussex.gov.uk/admissions.

All local schools hold open events and welcome visits from prospective parents to help you decide which school you would like your child to attend.
