Pupil Absence

Absence request forms are available from the Reception desk or can be downloaded from this page.

Our protocol for checking on absent children is available here.

Please note that our registers close at 9.00am.  Children arriving at school after this time will be recorded as "U" which counts as an unauthorised absence, unless the late arrival has been for a pre-agreed reason (eg medical/dental appointment, visit to another school).  This is in accordance with the new DfE statutory guidance on attendance (September 2024). 

If the number of unauthorised absences (attendance codes G, O and U) reaches 10 sessions  (equivalent to 5 full days) within a 10 week school period, parents/carers may be subject to a fixed penalty notice.
