KS2 Sports Day 2021
In a week of beautiful July weather, each of the Key Stage 2 year groups enjoyed their very own Sports Day!
There were lots of great examples of the different School Games values (Honesty, Respect, Self-belief, Determination, Passion and Teamwork) on show throughout.
It was great that everyone had the opportunity to take part in 9 different events: Obstacle relay, Under/over, Hula-hoop, 50m, 8x50m relay/500m, The Circle, Speed skipping, Tennis ball maze and Bean-bag pick-up.
Well done to all and a special well done to Pevensey house who accumulated the most points across the Key Stage 2 year groups; it was so close, it was neck-a-neck going into the 39th and final event of the week!
All of the children who were able to take part have been awarded with a School School Games Sports Day Festival 2021 certificate, to which the School Games values stickers and their team's scores have been added.
In an academic year, when opportunities to enjoy and compete in school sport have been severely limited, it was great that the children had so much fun on their Sports Day :)
Particular thanks should go to staff from across the Key Stage 2 team whose efforts ensured the children had a great time.
Lots more photos of the Sports Days can be seen on the Year 4, 5 and 6 Google Classroom streams and the Hazel/Elm DB Primary homepage.
Everyone at Harlands looks forward to being able to offer all children as many sporting opportunities as possible during the next academic year!
