Harlands is an ambitious and vibrant two-form entry primary school, which became a converter, stand-alone, academy in April 2014.   From September 2023 we have had a bulge class, which for September 2024 will be part of our Year 1 cohort.   Our most recent Ofsted inspection in January 2023 reconfirmed that the school continues to remain as Good.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and aspirational teacher, who would be keen to enhance and support our curriculum initially in KS2, but willing to work in KS1 if this becomes a permanent appointment.  An interest in either the development of IT within a school setting or outdoor education would be desirable.  We would also be prepared to consider either a first or second year ECT for this post.

We are looking for:

  • An energetic and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for teaching and learning – especially understanding the needs of children in as individuals and exploring innovation in the curriculum
  • A teacher who has the desire to ensure every child fulfils their potential
  • An exemplary role model with strong values and high expectations of pupils

We can offer you:

  • Enthusiastic children who are keen to learn in a happy, caring and exciting environment
  • A strong team ethos with committed, friendly and supportive staff
  • A whole school commitment to striving for excellence
  • Supportive parents/carers and trustees

Harlands Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  All appointments are subject to pre-employment checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service with barred lists check.  This will be done by means of applying for a DBS certificate through the Disclosure and Barring Service.  Disclosures include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions, spent or unspent.

We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.  The  documents available below will be helpful but if more information is needed, please contact the Headteacher’s PA, Mrs K Michael, to whom applications should be sent kmichael@harlandsedtrust.org.uk
