Teaching Assistant - 1:1 SEN TA

Grade 3, £15,807 to £16,491 pro rata (£8.04 to £8.39 per hour)

 

1:1 SEN temporary contract, to be reviewed at the end of the Summer Term, for 21.67 hours per week in total

 

Harlands Primary School is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join our valued team, starting as soon as possible in February 2018.

 

The post will be for five mornings per week, term time only.  The successful candidate will be required to work 8.30am to 1.05pm most days, but with some flexibility for a later start and finish on one day per week.  They will mainly be supporting children with EHCPs, but working as part of the Early Years/KS1 team.

 

The successful candidate will:

 

·         Be resilient, empathetic and adaptable

·         Have knowledge/experience of working with children with social communication difficulties and/or ASC

·         Be enthusiastic patient, sensitive, firm and tactful

·         Work well as part of a friendly and successful school team

·         Maintain confidentiality

·         Plan differentiated learning tasks to support the pupils

·         Have some knowledge and/or experience of working with primary children

·         Be suitably qualified with good basic mathematical skills, and able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in a variety of settings (GCSE Grade C+ or equivalent)

·         An NVQ2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification would be desirable

Teaching Assistant - Upper KS2 (Interventions)

Grade 3, £15,807 to £16,491 pro rata (£8.19 to £8.55 per hour)

 

Harlands Primary School is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join our valued team starting as soon as possible. The initial contract will be fixed term until July 2018, principally supporting upper KS2 interventions in the core subjects, to be reviewed at the end of the summer term.

 

The post will be for five mornings per week, term time only, and the successful candidate will be required to work 8.30am to 1.05pm which includes lunch duties.  

 

The successful candidate will:

 

·         Be enthusiastic, caring, well-motivated and adaptable

·         Be patient, sensitive, firm and tactful

·         Work well as part of a friendly and successful school team

·         Maintain confidentiality

·         Plan differentiated learning tasks to support the pupils

·         Have some knowledge and/or experience of working with primary children

·         Be suitably qualified with good basic mathematical skills, and able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in a variety of settings (GCSE Grade C+ or equivalent)

·         An NVQ2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification is highly desirable

  Parking
Please note that for events for parents held during the day time, there is NO PARKING available on the school site. Visitors need to be aware that there are parking restrictions around the immediate school vicinity between 9.00-10.00am and 1.00-2.00pm, so please allow sufficient time to park elsewhere and walk to the school.
