Visit to Fishbourne Roman Palace - March 2009
During their visit to Fishbourne Roman Palace, the children enjoyed a workshop looking at Roman and Celtic life.
They had a chance to build their own Roman mosaic .....
tried their hand at basket weaving ....
and had a go at writing with ink and wax tablets.
Some of the children were dressed up as a Roman Prince, a Celtic woman and a slave, whilst others explored a Roman soldier's outfit.
It was not all hard work though, as the children were also able to try out typical Roman games.
