Forest Schools

The Forest School project is being funded from some of the money allocated to us under the Pupil Premium.  The project is lead by Tom Hill from the National Trust, supported by Mrs Christophersen, and a former pupil.  Small groups of children are given the opportunity to enjoy a series of activities over a ten week period which involves campfires, woodcraft and the chance to explore our natural environment.

The sessions start with lunch round a camp fire which the children help to build.

The recent snowy weather added to the excitement as a strange environment became even more alien.

The benefit of the project comes from the sense of achievement the children gain in doing unusual and exciting activities, even if the mud may not be to everyone's taste!
