Some information about our school
Our school was opened in 1964. It is situated in Penland Road, on the north-western edge of Haywards Heath. We are lucky to have large classrooms that overlook the school grounds. Each classroom is equipped with an interactive white board and linked to our computer network. The school has a large hall, a studio and library facilities. The new building has given the school three new classrooms and a purpose built library and computer suite.
There are fourteen classes each with about thirty children, together with a teacher and teaching assistants. There are two classes in each age group from age 4 to age 11. Each classroom is named after a tree, and so the children within that classroom take the same name. The Reception children are currently (year 2010/11) housed in Apple and Cherry, Year 1 are Oak and Beech, Year 2 are Rowan and Willow, Year 3 are Elm and Hazel, Year 4 are Chestnut and Hawthorn, Year 5 are Acer and Birch and Year 6 are Lime and Maple.
Our school aims to...

* Provide a happy, safe and well-managed environment;
* Forge an open partnership between home and school;
* Encourage children to make a positive contribution to school life;
* Prepare children for the challenges and opportunities awaiting them.
