Friends of Harlands Events - Summer 2010
Monday, 14 June - Hair Braiding/Face Painting Workshop straight after school, in preparation for the Summer Fair
Saturday, 10th July - SUMMER FAIR - lots of help needed, and the date avoids any daytime world cup matches, so no excuses!
Please leave a note with the School Office, or e-mail nyule@btintern.com if you would be able to help, even for just an hour. Many hands make light work on this occasion!
Friends of Harlands Officers
Following from the AGM in September 2009, the following officers have been elected:

Secretary Amanda Stenning
Treasurer Emma Robinson
Friends of Harlands
The Friends of Harlands has charitable status as a fund raising organisation (registered charity no. 800232). The money is used entirely for the benefit of the children in the school. All parents and teachers are members. The committee is elected at the AGM in September. They hold many events that help the school financially and provide the opportunity for parents and teachers to meet each other informally. These include discos, quiz nights, a Summer Ball and fairs.
Funds raised in recent years by the ‘Friends’ have paid for a new library, a multi-media system for the school hall, landscaping outside the early years classrooms, a new cricket crease, sports kit, computer equipment, storage sheds and notice boards for the playground.
The school is very grateful for the support of the Friends of Harlands, the hard work of the committee and the parents who give their time.
