PREMISES OFFICER, MARCH 2019
Salary Grade 5, points 17-19 £18,672-£19,446 (pay award pending). This grade may be reviewed for the right candidate.
Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, to start as soon as possible.
Harlands Primary School is a large school site set in its own grounds. We have over 400 wonderful children and a staff team of 50. We need an enthusiastic, flexible and well-motivated Premises Officer to join our hard working, professional, friendly team.
With a range of building maintenance, DIY, caretaking and Health & Safety skills and experience, you will monitor and record contract cleaning standards and performance; liaise with a range of contractors who visit the site; maintain all health and safety related records and carry out a range of janitorial duties.
We are looking for someone who takes great pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and who wants to provide a safe and well maintained environment for all our children and staff to work in.
You will be a keyholder and part of the call-out team. Normal hours of work will be 7.5 hours per day, on a split shift basis, between 7.30am-6.00pm on Mondays to Thursdays, and 7.30am-5.30pm on Fridays, with some flexibility as required to work later on occasion. During the school holidays, these hours may be more flexible.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- carry out many varied maintenance duties
- repair and replace fixtures and fittings
- make good paintwork
- carry out minor plumbing repairs
- liaise with staff, contractors etc
- maintain accurate records
- and hold a clean driving licence
